Discreet Invisalign braces

Discreet Invisalign braces

Invisalign, East Grinstead

Orthodontics is a general term for the straightening of misaligned teeth, designed to fix bites and correct cosmetic and functional problems.

Traditional fixed braces are made from metal wires connecting brackets cemented to the teeth. Invisalign uses a clear retainer system to straighten teeth without requiring the cleaning and maintenance of uncomfortable metal wires and brackets.

The system involves using a custom-built plastic shield that slots over the teeth and gently pressure them into moving. Invisalign can be used to correct underbites and overbites and prevent joint problems, without creating issues with self-confidence that metal brackets can sometimes cause.

It creates the same results without any of the drawbacks.

Our teeth straightening team

Our superb teeth straightening team is led by Orthodontic Specialist Alex Cash who has over 30 years experience. Alex is joined by Martin Witzman who brings with him over 14 years experience.

The both have extensive knowledge and skill in straightening smiles and have expertly fitted Invisalign braces for many patients.

Invisalign invisible aligners

Perhaps the biggest advantage of Invisalign is that the aligners are almost completely invisible. No need to feel self-conscious in social situations. No need to be embarrassed by your smile.

Invisalign does all the hard work of straightening teeth without the visual downsides.

The aligners can even be removed for eating certain foods, and when brushing your teeth so you can maintain a regular hygiene routine.

The Invisalign process

The process involves having several aligners created for your teeth, each at varying sizes. Each one is worn for a set period of time and over the course of the treatment your teeth will be moved into the desired positions. This makes the timing very carefully managed.

The control over which teeth can be moved and when is much greater than that of traditional braces. There are occasions where ‘Traditional’ orthodonics may be the better option, and we have a Consultant Orthodontist on the team who can provide this option if needs be.

Here at St Faiths in East Grinstead our staff includes several certified Invisalign experts and orthodontics professionals who would be happy to set you on the path to a bigger, brighter, healthier smile.

Highly rated on Google Business

“I cannot say enough about how fantastic the service was here from referral to leaving. If you have any concerns or anxieties around dental care this really is the place. I had a wisdom tooth removed under sedation, 15 minutes later I was on my way home feeling silly for waiting so long. Huge thanks.”

Unfortunately NHS Commissioning standards have changed

We are now obliged to carry out all NHS treatment on under 12’s using inhalation sedation only.

This limits the types of treatment that we may be able to carry out on NHS contract, and regrettably we cannot guarantee that we will be able to complete all of the treatment you have been referred for.

We remain compliant with National ‘IACSD’ sedation guidelines which allow us the clinical freedom to use -where necessary -alternative ‘advanced’ sedation techniques on a non- NHS (private) basis.

If it looks like treatment will not be successful under ‘basic’ sedation, the options will be to refer you onward to Community Dental Service or Hospital (where facilities allow) or back to your own dentist for the treatment to be attempted under local anasethetic, or to discuss re-referral on a private basis.

We wish to make clear that this situation is purely as a result of NHS commissioning and completely beyond our control, but assure you of our best efforts in continuing to provide high standards in NHS treatment where possible.
