St Faith Dental Clinic in East Grinstead

Run by husband and wife dental team Richard and Susanne Simons.

Catering for patients across a huge range of general and cosmetic dental treatments on a cost effective independent basis, St Faith Dental Clinic is one of the leading dental practices in East Grinstead and West Sussex.

We are unique in that we have a range of dental specialists and state of the art sedation facilities meaning that we have the expertise to tackle just about any dental problem.

History & heritage

We have a unique place in the history and heritage of the local area, being the first dental practice to be established there 130 years ago. We moved to our current site on Halsford Park Road in East Grinstead in 1967.

The practice has evolved over the decades into its current incarnation as being the number one destination for general dentistry, orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry, and more specialised dental work in the area. It is also one of the foremost sedation clinics in the region, widely known across Sussex, Surrey and Kent.

The current owners are Richard and Susanne Simons. Richard has been the clinic’s specialist oral surgeon for over 20 years, and Susanne has been practicing general dentistry in the local area for over a decade.

We cater for all people in Sussex, Surrey and Kent, regardless of age or background. Whether you are looking for a routine check-up, a visit to the hygienist for a comprehensive clean, orthodontics, teeth whitening, or any other type of dentist service, we manage everything here at St Faiths.

St Faith Dental Clinic

Unfortunately NHS Commissioning standards have changed

We are now obliged to carry out all NHS treatment on under 12’s using inhalation sedation only.

This limits the types of treatment that we may be able to carry out on NHS contract, and regrettably we cannot guarantee that we will be able to complete all of the treatment you have been referred for.

We remain compliant with National ‘IACSD’ sedation guidelines which allow us the clinical freedom to use -where necessary -alternative ‘advanced’ sedation techniques on a non- NHS (private) basis.

If it looks like treatment will not be successful under ‘basic’ sedation, the options will be to refer you onward to Community Dental Service or Hospital (where facilities allow) or back to your own dentist for the treatment to be attempted under local anasethetic, or to discuss re-referral on a private basis.

We wish to make clear that this situation is purely as a result of NHS commissioning and completely beyond our control, but assure you of our best efforts in continuing to provide high standards in NHS treatment where possible.
